raising capital

I need someone who knows how to raise capital and can mentor me in the process. I am attempting to make a purchase of a railroad related company and am looking to raise the money for the purchase through an equity position in the new company and also a term debt on the money. Its a win win for someone. I just dont know the right people to go to to pitch the idea. Located in southwest Missouri so I am not exactly in the investment capital of the US. This purchase is in the 8mil range and is my first push into creating some ownership interest for myself in multiple companies. I just need help getting started. An education from someone who has done it before. Gary
